Product Design and Development (Application Engineering)

Lead New Projects on Safety Equipment’s such as Steering Wheel and Airbag. Prepare RFQ BOM, Design feasibility, DVP and Proto Part requirements. Designing concepts of Steering Wheel Assemblies, packaging data, fixtures for testing to meet customer requirements using software such as UG NX & Catia V5. Leading internal and external project meetings New Product and Prototype Development – For Plastic, sheet metal and rubber components. Actively engage supplier to resolve any development issues. Conduct Design review meetings, track and proactively close all open issues. Develops & implement engineering designs changes (including subsystems) Develops component technical specifications as well as statement of requirements and subsystem technical specifications Technical Lead for customers and troubleshooting for customer issues in case of design, quality and event parts delivery Interact with supplier for the problem-solving activities for the betterment of product. Interaction with CAE and development team for design validation. Makes sure all program deliverables and imperatives (cost, timing, investment, and quality) are met Conduct DFMEA, DRBFM, DVP&R & Design Reviews at various stages of development. Cooperation with international departments worldwide Benchmark global product to ensure robust design by communicating technical centers. Report to the business head on monthly basis status of products which are under development.

Design and Development (Application Engineering)

RFQ Study internally with CFT team and jointly with Customer. Interaction with Program development team & generate design concepts Involved in new projects on Two-wheeler Tail Lamp, Position Lamp, Winker Lamp, License Lamp. Conceptualization of lamp with design feasibility check and initial RFQ BOM. Weekly project update to customer, actively address & close all customer issues. Lighting specification review with internal laboratory and customer Resolve queries on time within team to achieve proposed delivery date & quality Identify and share the lessons learnt and best practices Proto Parts Build, DV Testing & Reporting. Pro-actively resolve any test failures and updated lessons learned sheet. Conduct top 5 meeting and update information display boards daily.

Technical Lead for customers and troubleshooting for customer issues in case of design, quality and event parts delivery New product and prototype Development – For Plastic, Sheet metal and rubber components. Actively engage supplier to resolve any development issues.Cooperation with international departments worldwide Design review with Project Leader and Customer Participation in internal and external project meetings Interact with Customer for all Design activities and proactively close all customer queries. Interact with supplier for the problem-solving activities for the betterment of product. Conduct Design review meetings, track and proactively close all open issues. Generate installation drawings for dynamic testing. Revise components, assemblies and/or drawings per approved ECN or DWO. Benchmark global product to ensure robust design by communicating technical centres.

Design Engineer

Hands on 2D to 3D conversion Using UG (NX) CatiaV5 for sketching, part modelling, assembly and drafting. In CFT team for assembly line improvement, jig/fixture implementation on assembly line Support in development activities of project. Make and review coasting BOM. Make and review of BILL OF MATERIAL of new projects. To make APQP and review in development meetings. Involvement in CFT team for tooling prospects. Responsible for Projects from 3D Concept finalization to PPAP with customer. Release shortages of the NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. Review of New Projects which are under development. Involved with Design Failure Mode Group. Approve and release drawing according to DCRN (ECRN) for new product development, existing products and for costumer approval. Vendor audits with QUALITY DEPTT. To release tool trials schedule to inter dept. Knowledge of GD&T.
